A bit late to bring up the fact that it's the new year, but I suppose for the sake of some kind of continuity from my last journal that it is acceptable.

So! Japan was fantastic, if I haven't already said it enough to people who've asked me. Some of us who may be overly obsessive with some branch of sub-culture that stems from Japan may be a bit disappointed about the hype depending where you go. But overall it was great fun, I'm definitely going back there one day, when I get the money again...

And uh, art... yes I suppose I don't really have an excuse at present, but the year ahead will bind me to a document called a thesis, which I do not look forward to writing at all. That said, it is also my last year in university before I officially become old (losing student status), so I'm going to try get the most out of uni life this year.

Also in upcoming news, WAI-Con '09 is creeping up slowly too. Alas I won't be in a cosplay get-up this time, but I will be dressing up for the occasion nonetheless. :)

But yeah, that's all to report!

I have never drawn a mecha in my life! Let alone a guy. Much more better at drawing females lol.

But your tutorial really helped! I used just the skeleton and the same feet that you used. I'm building it up now with more of a boxy design. My boyfriend is really into robots and we played phantasy star online for a bit and he was a robot and I was this itty bitty human ranger that was fully developed and carried this big ass SWORD! XDD
